We Are Rock Steady Boxing Greater Bay Area
Rock Steady Boxing Albany, Rock Steady Boxing Danville, and most recently, Rock Steady boxing Hercules, are collectively known as Rock Steady Boxing Greater Bay Area and owned by Coach Daniel Burkhardt. All three locations are official affiliates of the Rock Steady Boxing national parent organization with the first gym in the country dedicated to the fight against Parkinson’s.
Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) gives people with Parkinson’s disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing based fitness curriculum. A cure may be years away, but in the last seven years, there is evidence that progress is made in all stages of the disease by those participating in the Rock Steady Boxing program. This kind of training training has been shown to reverse, reduce, and even delay the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.
Expanding Access to Rock Steady Boxing Greater Bay Area
Rock Steady Boxing Greater Bay Area started its third location in January of 2020 at The Bar Athletics Club in Hercules. The owner of the club, Coach Kim Staggs, will be offering our classes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, for 90-minutes beginning at 1pm.
